Gift cards are
everywhere! There is hardly any store these days that doesn't offer its
own gift card (those plastic, credit-card-sized cards). Online "stores"
as well, such as Amazon, also offer gift-card-type gift certificates
that can be redeemed for online purchases.
Gift cards may be a really wonderful
gift idea---but there isn't much to wrap.
You can use these free printable gift
card certificates to help "dress up" the gift card so that Mom has
something to open. Be sure to download the collection:
Mother's Day Gift Card Certificates Collection
As shown here, these three gift card
certificates print on 8-1/2 x 11" paper and will fit into a regular
business (#10) envelope. You can use plain computer paper, heavier bond
paper, or card stock. You will also need cellophane tape and a pair of
scissors. |

#1 - Gift Certificate
Tall This free printable
Mother's Day gift card certificate prints in "portrait" mode, or 8-1/2"
across by 11" down. (Please refer to the next illustration for a tip
about printing this certificate.)
Depending on your printer and the
version of Adobe Reader you are using, you may have to trim off a little
bit at the bottom to even out the border.
Use a short piece of tape, wrapped in
a "donut" and stuck to the back of the gift card to affix the gift card
to the certificate as shown. |

When you print tall certificate
(as well as for the other gift card certificates in this collection), be sure to select "Fit to Page" in the "Paper
Source" box, which appears in the Print pop-up window when you print

using Adobe Reader version 5 or earlier, you may not have this option.

#2 - Wide Certificate

#3 - Long Certificate
This certificate is a little different
from the Tall and the Wide Certificate. It will print out in about the
middle of the page and is meant to be trimmed to be the size of a
business envelope (you won't be folding this gift card certificate).
The gift card certificate works best
when printed on card stock, which is a heavier paper. You can purchase
card stock in office supply stores such as Office Depot. It is very
inexpensive and you can usually purchase a ream of assorted colors for
under $5.00/ |

#4 - Quarter-Fold Gift
Card Certificate Included in
this collection of free printable Mother's Day gift card certificates is
a quarter-fold card and an envelope that is suitable for mailing the
card.
You can print this card on plain
computer paper or card stock. The envelope can be printed on plain paper
(using card stock may make it difficult to fold).
