These two Mother's Day
cards are easy to print, fold, and color! The matching envelope is also
printed on plain computer paper. The cards and envelope are PDF files, and are including in a zip folder. To download everything click here. The free printable coloring cards are PDF files and the collection is available as a zip file. If you are unfamiliar with PDF and don't quite know how to download or open zip files, then visit Jan's FAQs (presented in cooperation with Mom's Break) to find easy-to-understand illustrated tutorials. If you have card-making software, you can make your own quarter fold cards using the free printable Coloring Sheets offered by Mom's Break Mother's Day. Simple download the coloring sheets (which are jpg files), and insert the pictures into a card template in your card-making program. I recommend The Print Shop by Broderbund. |

Step 1. Print a card and an envelope. You can use plain white computer paper, colored paper, or card stock (which is slightly heavier paper). The envelope is best printed on regular computer paper, not card stock. The cards can be colored with crayons, colored pencils, or washable markers (the markers work best on card stock---that way the colors don't "bleed" through to the other side).

Step 2. Fold the card into a quarter-fold card. Color the card. It can also be "decorated" with stickers and glitter. Get a quick tutorial on the four parts of a quarter-fold card, and how to fold them, at:Quarter-Fold Cards: What They Are and How to Fold Them

Step 3. Print the envelope. A glue stick works best to glue the card together---it dries quickly and there's no mess! Get the folding instructions (and a link to the free printable blank envelope that you can download and print whenever you need an envelope for a quarter-fold card): Envelopes for Quarter-Fold Cards: How to Fold Them

Step 4. Color the envelope. Insert the card. Glue the card flap closed. This completes the tutorial for the Mother's Day Coloring Cards. See below for more Mother's Day cards, crafts, and gift ideas offered by Jan's Reading Room! |
